WeAquatics is proud to introduce our Adaptive Swim Lessons, designed to help swimmers of all ages and abilities who face challenges in learning to swim.



For children and adults with ADHD, autism, anxiety, sensory sensitivities, or motor challenges, our 1-on-1 adaptive lessons provide a tailored approach that celebrates and supports each swimmer’s unique needs.

Our Adaptive Swim lessons are for swimmers of all ages and abilities who are struggling to learn how to swim. This program is specifically designed for those who face additional challenges in their learning process and need extra support in a supportive and understanding environment.

What makes Adaptive Learning classes special?

WeAquatics has invested in advanced training to equip our swim instructors with the tools and knowledge to effectively address the underlying challenges faced by swimmers. Each of our adaptive learning instructors holds an Adaptive Swim Whisperer Certification from Swim Angelfish®, ensuring they have specialized skills to guide students through their swim journey with patience and understanding.

What do parents need to know prior to enrollment?

Before enrolling, parents must schedule a call with one of our admin team members for an intake assessment. This helps us understand the swimmer’s specific needs, enabling us to place them in the appropriate class and develop a personalized lesson plan that works best for their learning style.

Our 1-on-1 Adaptive Learning classes are with Swim Angelfish®-certified instructors who have specialized training in working with individuals with diverse learning needs. Classes are structured to accommodate sensory sensitivities, attention challenges, and various learning styles. We focus on building confidence and skills at the student’s own pace in a supportive environment.

All of our Adaptive Learning instructors are certified through Swim Angelfish®, a program developed by pediatric occupational and physical therapists with over 30 years of experience. This specialized training equips them with adaptive techniques to effectively support diverse learning needs.

Based on the information gathered during your intake assessment, we develop a personalized approach and match your child with the most suitable instructor for their unique situation. This collaborative process ensures we begin with strategies that are most likely to help your child succeed.

Classes are typically 30 minutes long but may be adjusted based on individual needs and attention spans. We find this duration provides enough time for meaningful progress while respecting sensory and attention limitations.
