Our Learn-to-Swim program offers tailored one-on-one swim instruction for all levels, whether you’re just getting started or have years of experience.
WeAquatics offers LTS lessons to students aged four years all the way to adults, and is the next step for ISR graduates.
For individuals with diverse learning needs, we have specially certified Swim Angelfish® instructors available upon request.
We tailor weekly one-on-one instruction to each student, building on strengths and improving weaknesses. Our LTS instructors teach stroke fundamentals while allowing time and space to build on the skills learned in ISR.
A typical lesson lasts 30 minutes. As perfecting strokes can be a lifelong process, we work with students as long as it takes to reach their individual goals, whether those milestones are age appropriate or stated.
We welcome students at any comfort level with the water. It’s completely natural for students of all ages to feel uncertain about the water at first— we’ll help them grow to love it. No prior experience is necessary, we only ask that the children are able to follow basic instructions. Our experienced instructors are skilled at meeting each child where they are, helping them to build confidence at their own pace.
Our students learn proper body positioning and how to balance in the water, which promotes efficient swimming. Swimming is based on muscle memory. We drill our students on building stamina and highlight the importance of repetition to increase proficiency. Our students learn all four strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly), giving them a breadth of knowledge should they ever choose to swim competitively.
Adults are welcome to become LTS students. Learning to swim can be an intimidating experience for adults, particularly those who have never been in a pool before.
Some might know the basics of floating, kicking, and pulling but could learn a great deal more with a little feedback on their technique.
If you would like to become more efficient and balanced in your strokes or you would like to learn correct breathing techniques, then we recommend our WeAquatics Adult Learn-To-Swim lessons.
Our adult lessons are scheduled once a week, but we encourage all our students to spend time practicing outside of lessons. Practicing outside scheduled lessons allows students to earn a functional understanding of the mechanics necessary to swim. Lesson time can then be focused on learning new skills and fine-tuning existing ones, and this speeds up the entire process of learning to swim.
WeAquatics Adult LTS program graduates achieve the necessary skills for lap swimming and then have the opportunity to join the WeAquatics Adult Masters training group.
No, we work with students as long as it takes to reach their personal goals.
Yes! While not all instructors have specialized training, WeAquatics does have instructors certified through Swim Angelfish® who are specifically trained to work with individuals who have diverse learning needs. If you or your child would benefit from these adaptive learning approaches, please indicate this during enrollment so we can match them with an appropriately certified instructor.
It’s completely natural to feel uncertain about the water. Our experienced instructors create a supportive environment and help build confidence gradually. Many of our most successful swimmers started out feeling unsure!
Our one-on-one instruction means that the focus is entirely on one student’s progress. Instructors customize teaching methods to your learning style and adjust the pace to match your comfort level. This individualized attention leads to accelerated progress.
Yes! Many students progress from LTS to our Young Masters or Adult Masters programs to train for endurance and enhance stroke technique.
