What DMV Families Say About WeAquatics
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between ISR and Learn-to-Swim?
ISR focuses on survival skills for infants and toddlers ages 6 months to 4 years, with daily 10-minute sessions. Learn-to-Swim is for ages 4 through adults, with weekly 30-minute sessions focusing on stroke development and water confidence.
How long does it take to learn to swim?
Every swimmer is different. ISR students typically master survival skills in 5-7 weeks. For Learn-to-Swim, basic water confidence can develop in a few months, while stroke mastery is an ongoing journey that varies by individual.
Do you offer group lessons?
Yes! We offer small group lessons at select locations, including Brambleton (near Dulles) and Olney. Groups maintain a small ratio of 4-6 students to ensure quality instruction while providing the benefits of peer learning.
Do you have adaptive options for students with different needs?
Absolutely! WeAquatics has instructors certified through Swim Angelfish® who are specifically trained to work with individuals who have diverse learning needs, including ADHD, autism, and sensory sensitivities.
